joint ownership

my mother and i are co-owners of a house. she left the house over 10 years ago and never came back. she has not paid any land, or school taxes or any house insurance payments or monies towards the upkeep of sewer,or the well. we talked of 20,000 to transfer the deed to my name.she falted on the verbal contract.she doesn't want the house and i do. what legal actions can i take to get the house in my name???

You can file a Petition for Partition.

A Court Referee will then be appointed to arbitrate between you and your mother, if possible.

If not, the Refereee will tell the Court in a Report how the property should be partitioned and the equities allocated between the two of you.
