can land be landlocked in nys if there is no easement in the deed

I don't have enough information. What matters is that the owner have means of ingress and egress (out to a street or something).
An easement can also be obtained by adverse possession. If you were cutting through a path or something for 10 years open, notoriously and continuously, you can file.
