laws relating to a driveway used by four attached 2family houses
My house is the first of 4 attached 2-family houses. We share a common driveway. I have 2 questions, first is it legal for one of the houses to build a deck which extends into the driveway and make an apt. out of their garage and rent it? This apt. only exits into the driveway.
If repairs are needed to the cement who is responsible for the repairs?

1. Read your documetns creating the common driveway and easements. I doubt it permits adding to the use.

Check with the Buildings Department to determine whether the deck and/or driveway apartment are legal. If not, they will most likely send an inspector and require modifications.
