Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Lease

I was wondering if there is any legal way to break a lease? My husband's job is being relocated to Illinois, but we're currently in a lease that doesn't end until August. If we hired a lawyer, is there any way they could help us break it? Or are we legally obligated to finish the lease? Thank you.
