Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Hello i currently have a lease in my name for a year but my ex lives their it is his house we had made a contract btw us stating that he would be responsiblle for all the bills and we both signed it.....and now all clues are seeming like he is planning to move to another state and leave me with the lease what can i do i do not want to mess up my credit....help!:-(

You would have to wait until he fails to make payment. Then, you would be responsible to the landlord and the ex would be responsible to you.
