Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Is this legal?

My daughter purchased a mobile home in a local park. When I questioned her as how she was able to do this with no money down, she told me that the salesperson told her to tell the finance company when they did the loan application over the phone that she gave them 5000.00 down and that the money was not a gift or a loan, even though she didn't have 5000.00 to give. They told her to tell the bank that the price of the mobile was 50000.00 and needed to finance 45000.00 Is this legal??? It just seems sort of sneaky to me, and I am worried about this.

If You have questions or concerns about what your daughter told you, SUGGEST that SHE consult with an attorney for information, in order to protect herself.

If your daugther is an adult you should not be trying to "mind her business" without her consent.
