What legal rights does a person have when a relationship breaks up and there is a property envolved and

1- Property was bought by one of the individuals, 2nd person comes into picture 1yr later

2- 3 yrs after buying the property, 2nd person is placed on the title

3- Both individuals on the mortgage

The parties can file to have the property partitioned.

The property is considered to be joint property.
