Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

I was sent a letter of intent that my lender was going to foreclose on my home. Since then I received nothing from anyone (the bank, their lawyer, county sheriff etc) in regards to this foreclosure.I went to the home to pick up some things and to my surprise all my personal things were gone and all the locks have been changed. Can they legally do this?

No, they can't. You can sue them. Contact a local contingent fee lawyer and go to town!!!
