Life Estate look back Period.

Have Life estate laws recently changed? If a property was put in a Life Estate in 2003 ,what is the look back period for Medicare Leins?

Re: Life Estate look back Period.

There is a five year look-back period for all transfers but the ineligibility period may be less. A value is assessed to the life estate and the remainder interest which may invoke a period of ineligibility for Medicaid.
