Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I live in cooperative apartment. 2 years ago, the balcony needed to be taken down for reconstruction... and 2 years later I'm still waiting. Some of my neighbors and others outside my property say I should request some compensation for no use of my balcony for this period of time, but recently been told that since the balcony does not effect the rest of my home and I have been able to live in my home otherwise, I may not have a valid claim. How can I best determine if I do or do not have a valid claim to request?
