Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I live in a rent-stabilized two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. The new owners are gradually buying out all my neighbors' leases and renovating their units. I currently sublet my spare bedroom on AirBnB to travelers (and live in the other bedroom). Can this jeopardize a potential lease buy-out? Is my AirBnB scheme grounds for eviction?

It's probably a violation of the no sublet clause, but that would be grounds for a notice to cure, not an immediate termination. It could be a complication, especially if the rent from the spare bedroom is above certain thresholds.
