Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

i live in a townhome where 4 houses shared the same sewerline. i usually get backup with water if the management office doesn't do a maintenace cleanout in my neighbor's basement because there is a trap there. if i sell my house in the future, would i still have liability once they found the sewer has this particular problem?

A. Generally a house is sold "as is". So, the short answer is no.
