Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

i lost in default in real estate court because i wasnt in the state.. what happens now? do i still own the home? do i have to sign the deed over?

Not enough information to go by, but based on your questions it seems that your home is currently in foreclosure. Defaulting is serious when in foreclosure proceedings and can in fact result in losing your home. You need to contact the court/other side immediately to see if there is any way to get the default judgment vacated.
