Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I am in the military and i tried buying a house in New York when i was stationed there however i came on order and had to move out off state , for that reason the wasn't ablre to qualify for the mortgage and the purchase didn't go through. The owner refused to sign the release at the time. After a year i just received an email from him complaining about why i didn't buy his house and demanding that i compensate him. I think its outrageous. I know there are laws that protect service members from things like this, any help?
