Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Mortgage Closing after DUI arrest

I am currently in the process of purchasing a home. I have already been approved for the mortgage and the closing date is within two weeks.

I was arrested for DWI but but have not appeared in court yet.

My question, will I be required to disclose this information at the closing?

No. I assume you have an attorney representing you. If not, I can certainly review your documents since I practice in NY and FL.

No. you will not have to disclose that information at closing. Information such as this has no bearing on your ability to repay your mortgage or own real property.
