Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

neighbor roofer contractor

My terrible neighbor wants me to allow him access to my property so a contractor can put up roofing.

There is eight feet between our homes and he has four feet to play with till our fence.

Am I obligated to let them use my property after they have been so mean to us?? If I do is there liability on my part if something happens.?

Thaabks!

No you don't have to let them onto your property unless they have an easement and it doesn't sound like they have one. And yes you could be sued if someone is hurt on your property; so that is a good reason to deny permission.
