Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
My neighbor's fence is about a foot over the property boundary, on my land. If I warn him and give him a reasonable amount of time to move it or take it down, may I take it down myself? I live in Levittown, Ny.

No, fer Buddha's sake, no. This is Levittown. I bite my tongue. But some of them thar ticky-tacky houses all the same have GUNS in them. Capisque? Go to court. Do it right. Be safe.
Seriously. Levittown? Do you really have to ask?

Agreed. Send him a letter. Tell him you will rent the property his fence is on for $1,000.00 a year payable in advance.
