Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
In NYS, is there a time limit money can be held in escrow before a real estate transaction is completed? I want to get out of a deal that was made 6years ago - escrow has been held for 6yrs! I’m the seller. Buyer has no motivation.

It depends on your contract. It is up to you to terminate the deal and request your funds.

What is the problem with getting out of the deal? Seems to me the buyer would want his money back.
