Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Power of Attorney

I am interested to buy real property(apartment and or vaccant land) in India. I would like to give a power of attorney to a resident of California who will travel to India for this pupose. Is there any standard form that I can use for this purpose. Please guide me.

Thanks/Uma

Re: Power of Attorney

Any legal stationary store, legal library or internet site will have a real estate power of attorney form.

You will have to read it to make sure it covers what you want. It must be signed before a notary public. It should specify the transaction involved so as not to authorize everything forever. Good luck. You should be looking to buy in our South Florida Hot market.
