Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
private road
I own property on the end of a private road. Each property owner must maintain their section on road. When one does not maintain their section what is my recourse? Can I force the town to fix it and then they put a lein on the property for the cost incured?

Re: private road
What is the course of dealing over the years for the the maintenance? Is there a written agreement? Is there an easement or right of way? These things matter for the maintenance and for who is reponsible.
One thing is certain, the town will not work on a non-town road.
Good Luck
