Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Property damage

Hi,

I am a unit owner in Condo building. I had a leakage in my ceiling. I have spoken with the owner in my upstair, they told me there were no water in their floor.

What should I do? If I need to go to court for the damage. who should I suit, upstair unit or the building?

Have you notified yourBoard of the management company yet? Itr may be an inside the wall problem.
