Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

I purchased my home nine years ago, and married two years after that. I had my husbands name added to the deed one year after we married ... I want to have his name removed from the deed ... is this something that I can do on my own or does he have to be with me to sign off on it?

I agree - he must sign new Deed, but it can be done separately. Deed just needs two acknowledgements if he does not come at same time as you.
