Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
quit claim deed
My ex-husband signed a quit claim deed, he has restitution judgements on my house. Is there anyway of transferring them off from my house and onto his personal property such as his vehicle or a house that he is listed in a will to inherit?

Re: quit claim deed
If the judgments are properly filed, they are a lien against the property and only can be removed if satisfied (paid) The good news is that unless they are against you also, you can live there as long as you wish.
They would only have to be paid when and if you sell.
