Re: real estate

Hi:

You need to examine where you were sending your payments to. Then call the State Banking department to determine which entity purchased or was assigned the bank's assets of which your mortgage is one.

Keeping the taxes current is a good thing. According to your message it has been some time since any financial entity was in touch with you but it is just my opinion that eventually some body will come forward and it would be a better thing if you found them first.

Initially, when you signed the mortgage it should have had a provision stating something like that even if they do not exercise their rights under the contract it is not to be construed as a waiver of said rights.

Good Luck
