Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Real Estate Transfer
We were unable to qualify for a loan to purchase a doublewide home, due to some past problems. My wife's mother agreed to purchase the home in her name for us and we will put it on our property.
The loan is for 20 years and her name has to be on the title until it is paid. How do we get the name transferred to us if something unexpected happens to her, or could she transfer payments to us now?

Buy it jointly with right of survivorship.
