Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

I was recently divorced 2 years ago and my name is on the deed for our home,but i was never on the mortgage,how do I go about getting name off the deed.Im I liabale for anything with the house since being divorced

I agree. The folders for my divorce clients even with uncontested divorce are thick and I have to keep them in a special folder box. This is because theree are a LOT of forms you need to fill out. When you pray for relief at the end-that is it. Sign, notarize, and write your name and date below signature. On the left side, put "Islip" your town and below it, New York. If you are on LI, call e at (631) 848-1204 because the rest is going to be tricky for those handling it alone, esp if the other side has a lawyer. A new case came in where the judge said "You must get a lawyer and bring him/her to the next conference in court".
