Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Rights of coop tenant-shareholders

I am told that as a tenant-shareholder of a coop in New York City I am entitled to receive a list of all my fellow shareholders, their addresses, and the names of the board members. Unfortunately, the President and managing agent are not willing to give me this information for the majority of the shares are still owned by the sponsor.

I'm thinking about putting them on notice but I would like to research the law first.

1) Where is it written that I am in fact entitled to this information?

2) What law regulates coops? UCC, real estate law...?

Thank you
