Security Deposit Law

I lived in an apartment for four years, gave my written notice three months in advance, and cleaned the apartment. It has been 30 days with no security deposit returned to me. What are my rights?

Sue in small claims court

And when you go, make sure you bring

proof and witnesses as to everything you

said, and hopefully pictures showing

the condition of the place when you left

You can either bring and action in Landlord/Tenant Court for the return of the security, or, you can bring an action in small claims court for the return of the security.
