Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
if i am trying to sell my house and we have the original c of o, but the building department's original drawings were lost or destroyed, are the drawings necessary for the sale of the house and if so, do new ones have to be drawn up and who is responsible for that?

You don't need new drawings. The c/o attests that the building was completed in accordance with approved plans. Anyone who makesan issue over the lost file is just trying to undercut your price.
