Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

we were selling a business ( C-store) in NY, we had a verbal offer along with a letter of intent, The potential buyers have now backed out after 6 weeks , we had other offers during that time that were turned away because of this potential sale. Do we have any recourse.?

If you failed to accept the offer then the answer would be no since there was never an agreement.
