Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

right of way

there is a right of way along side central walk in fair harbor fire island..the town of islip. i placed some poles in the front of my house three feet from the edge of the concrete road so cars would not park there. the town required their removal. i did this. now there is a car parked in the right of way. what recourse do i have? should the town also require that no cars should block the right of way as they deemed with my poles?

Re: right of way

It is a tricky situation dealing with towns out there as they have their own set of rules and interpret them anyway they like. You want to try to remove the matter from the hands of the town to a Supreme Court matter if you can.

I would need to discuss all the details with you to give you proper guidance. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to do so.

Kind regards,
