Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Here is my situation. I had a home in NY with my ex-wife, house was only in her name as well as first mortgage. We had a 2nd mortgage that was in both our names. She declared bankruptcy and now the 2nd mortgage has me entirely responsible for the debt and put me in collections. I have no way of paying this. What are my options and what means can the collection agency take to collect the debt?
