Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
He's not telling the truth!
My neighbor backed his van into my parked car which was legally parked on the street. My husband saw him hit the car and went to see what damage had been done. When he refused to give us his licence or registration info. I called the police. When the police arrived they wrote up a report stating that the van backed up unsafely. The driver of the van denied he had the van out in the last 4 hours, when the police felt the van it was hot. They did state this in the report. My quetion, is my husband's testimony, the police report and 2 estimates enough evidence or should I try to get the officers to show up in small claims court?
Thank you in advance for your help

Re: He's not telling the truth!
Small claims court is a wonderful thing. There are no ridged formalities as compared to the normal "everday" court.
What you have is plenty. The officer's personal appearance is not required.
