Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Our tenants moved out but have not return the apartment keys nor the calls. They had agreed to pay the unpaid amount of $2,266.00 owed in rent. How long must I wait to take legal action to recover a payment? The lease mysteriously disappeared from the space we shared(2 family). I have no forwarding address but possibly thier place of employment.
