transfer of deed

my husband and i have ageed to separate and he would like for me to have the house deed in my name only. we want to do a quitclaim deed but which one for new york

I suggest you do a bargain and sale deed with covenants. This protects you in case he has any liens/judgments against him/house.

But as for Quit claim deed, only know of one type in NY. Don't forget you also need to file the other forms that go with the deed and pay a filing fee.
