Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Transfer of tenent's security deposit on sale of property.

The property I am renting is being sold a few days prior to the end of my lease (I have already vacated the premises). Is the original or the new owner responsible for the return of my security deposit?

Generally a new owner takes over the securtiy deposits and makes the reimbursement. I suggest you contact your old landlord to verify this.
