Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
My uncle ,who was killed in colombia, owns a condo apartment in new york. He has 2 brothers in the states and three in colombia, and my mother ( who was his sister) died before him a few nonths ago.He left no will, had no wife or children, and the apartment was titled on his name. who has any rights to his apartment?do the brothers in colombia inherit? do I inherit in behalf of my deceased mother?I am an american citizen ,living in colombia at the present time.

His siblings alive at his death inherit equal shares.

Assuming the father is also deceased, then all siblings (both here and abroad) would inherit.
