Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Utility Easement

I have a right of way over my neighbor's property, but to bring electric and phone to my building site the utilities require a utility easement from the neighbor, which he is willing to give. We're trying to determine how to formally and legally go about this.

Re: Utility Easement

Either you or the utility need to prepare the easement. It then needs to be recorded in the office of the County Clerk outside NY City or the Register's Office in NY City.

This can easily be done by any real estate attorney inexpensively.
