Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Me and my wife of 2yrs (officially) and 30 unofficially, recently have come to a potential problem. She has ms and been a nursing home for a yr for rehab, we recently recieved a bill for 81k, and now theyre talking about looking at our assets five yrs back, via medicaid social service dept. we have been in our home for 10yrs, the deed's in my wifes maiden name, also i have a pension plan, my question is should we be worried? And if so of what? And finally, what would you recomend?
