Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Three yesars ago we bought a house that was part of an estate. It was disclosed to us that in 2002 the roof collasped from snow and was rebuilt. We just had another heavy snowfall and had to have our roof shoveled off as cracks were showing up in our celiings. After the snow removal the contractor went into the space above our garage and told us that whoever rebuilt the roof didn't do it right and we have a 2 inch sag in the roof. Do we have any legal recourse in getting payment from the estate, realator, or building inspector since we will have to have the roof rebuilt probably at a very high cost. Is no one besides us responsible for the cost? Thank you.......
