Legal Question in Securities Law in New York
division of stock account
My former partner and I are owners of a stock account that was established in NY. I am the main holder on the account. At the time of our split in 2002, the account was frozen. No agreement can be reached to resolve the account. I think we are listed on the account as each owning 50%. I have since moved to Tennessee. What are my rights to the account?

Re: division of stock account
To offer any advice, I would need more details. Do you mean partner as business partner or as significant other? Is this an ordinary brokerage account, or some sort of stock holding company limited partnership? Why was the account frozen in 2002?
