Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

Affairs in the office

My boss has been having on-going sexual relations with some of my colleagues. This is a major corporation and after speaking with the Ombudsman, I have learned that there is a ''zero tolerance'' policy on this behavior. I have always suspected that he was not equitable in his treatment of staff with respect to benefits, bonuses, etc.. My suspicions wee confirmed. After having conversations with one of the women who had an affair with him, I learned that he discussed other employees during these interludes, including me. I have not been able to get this out of my head and left the company, giving up a six figure income, to remove myself from that environment. Due I have any recourse?? There are more colleagues who feel victimized as well.

Re: Affairs in the office

You may have, depending on far more details than

you present here. When did this happen? How long

ago did you leave? What were the precise details

of your leaving? All are factors. Were you in any

way sexually harassed yourself? or just denied

promotional opportunities because you were not

offered a " quid pro quo" of sex for business

favors? All of the foregoing would impact on what

rights you have. Did you sign any documents waiving

your right to sue them, in any way? We need to

know more than presented here. It sounds like it

COULD be actionable....
