Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

Homer owner sues contractor for not sleeping with her.

my husband is a licensed contractor with no bad reports against him a year ago he did a job for a woman who was getting out of a bad marriage from what she said anyway he did alot of work for this womanshe paid him for some of the work but the rest of the work she offered to pay with sex he refused and she didn't pay him since it wasnt an extreme amount of money he let it go but since then shes been calling my home and making excuses to get him to her house he has went their 6 times because she said their was problems with work and everytime he went their was nothing wrong she tried to hit on him so he told her do not call me no more she stopped calling and recently i received a letter i was being sued for all her money back because the job is not what he promised also he put tiles in her kitchen and under her kitchen their was a beam that she was told never to remove it holds the floor up her son moved back home and moved downstairs and he needed the room so he took the beam out and the floor collapsed and she is denying this infact my husband put the beam their please what are my rights to fight this woman their needs to be laws to protect good hardworking contracters

Your husband will have to fight this in court, and disprove her allegations. This type of situation is not covered by the federal anti-discrimination laws.

Your husband should get an attorney, and my guess is that once he makes his counter allegations, regarding the sexual aspects of the matter, she will back off.
