Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York
phasing out my job after being sexually harrassed
The president of the association i work for stalked me and harrassed me and sent a vile email beginning of december to me and the executive committee. i took out a restraining order against him. the executive committee ''investigated'' the allegations and after one month - released him. during that time - they ignored me and did not answer work-related questions. yesterday, the new president laid out his new plans for the association which did not include me. he has not kept me abreast of what he is doing and the nature of the association is for the president and the EO to work together. when i asked him a question at the board meeting, as he was making plans for change that was in contrast to the meetings i was having, he said very rudely in front of everyone ''i don't have to tell you anything''. his new format for running the association does not include my position. i am being phased out of a job i have been successful at for over 5 years. treated disrespectfully, ignored and humiliated. it is impossible for me to get my job done not knowing what the president is doing. he does not return calls or emails. i am working in a vacuum. this i all taking place two months after the sexual harrassment. do i have a case?

If you are being phased out because of your complaint against the president, you may have a valid case. I would of course need to review all the facts to make a definite assessment.
