Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York
sexual harassemnt
The CFO and also my boss is sexually harassing me. I am leaving my job this week while he is on vacation because he has asked me out on several dates. Both he and I are married and he is weel aware of that fact. I can not confront him because I am affrad that he will fire me. He has done this to me for 6 months and I have had enough. He does it in front of people and I have plenty of witnesses but have not documented anything down. This is a large company with our main offices in California. What should I do, if anything? Please see if you can give me any helpful lega advise. thank you.

Re: sexual harassemnt
Why are you afraid he will fire you? You will at least get your unemployment insurance easier than if you resign. Though under these circumstances you should get it either way, this sounds like a constructive discharge to me.
What do you WANT to do? You seem to have an aversion to confronting him, so perhaps you should not litigate him or the company unless you have the stomach for it. You should call one of us in New York on this panel and set up an appointment to go over the details. You ceratinly seem to have an actionable matter under Title VII and local New York State and City statutes. But in general unless you have to, I would not just leave.
