Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

sexual harassent

If I asked that an offensive calander that was hanging in my view be removed from my sight and my supervisor first said why she's not naked, then said no because he had to check with his boss eventhough it 's docummented in the company policy and signed by him. So I called Human resources. When I was on the phone it was taken down. I told the H.R. person that I was afraid of retaliation, she said that that would noy happen. Then the next day I was called in to my supervisor boss office and the proceeded to talk about everything that was wrong with me and tha issue with calander was a dead issue. My question is if this might retaliation for me havivg them take the canlander down, and what if anything can I do?

Re: sexual harassent

I believe there might have been retaliation. You should begin to make a note of every problem you have at work and keep that ready. If the issue is over then there is nothing here. If you find yourself delegated to dead end tasks or otherwise discriminated against then you need to file a complaint with the federal and state government. I would use an attorney to help you draft that document and to follow the case after it is filed.

Good Luck.
