Assistance from Social Security Disabilty?
Husband's spouse passed away has 2 children getting SS survivor benefits. Husband /Father has not worked in over a year due to overwhelming girief,anxiety leading to depression. presently under doctor care, attends girief counseling. Attempts fail to get back into active work, is there any help from SS or can this person apply for Disabilty at age 48? What options are available for assistance?

The husband/father can apply for SSD benefits, which should entitle his children to additional benefits.
