Denied then open by ssi folks again then denied again
My husband suffers from schizophenria for along time. went to court lost ss case. he is currently on ssi. SSI office notified us 3 months ago they themselves were re-oping because they feel he should be on SS not SSI. received letter lost again. don't understand this. we had all kinds of psychiatrists, medical doctors at hearing as well as all documents. Should I hire another attorney to help me end this nightmare?

Yes. While the facts you have told me are not detailed, if the SSI feels that your husband should be on SI, then they may not contest the petition.
You should be successful this time. It is very typical for the SS administration to deny the first application, almost standard, even if it is valid and should be approved. This is well-known to all lawyers in this field.
