Legal Question in Social Security Law in New York
ssi after one has left the country
Hello,
My brother was getting SSI benefits. He is now living (and most probably will continue to live) in another country. Aside from the obvious fact that he must notify SSI of his change of address (which I will get around to), I want to ask if SSI is even obligated get send the checks anymore.
I really really would appreciate any help you can give,

I believe he is. I do not think you need to be a resident of the United States and pay into the system when becoming disabled. I would think that you would be happy since this will benefit your borother
