Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

1180 d

I was driving in brooklyn, honestly i do not know what I was clocked at. On my ticket the officer put ''+47'' in the MPH area. The speed zone was 30mph. Does this mean I was going 77? I don't think I was ever going that fast. My violation is a 1180 d

Re: 1180 d

Best guess is 47/30.

You can go on the DMV website (nysdmv.com) and print up a substitute ticket that will show the enumerated speed- available in the online transactions section.

Re: 1180 d

Without seeing the ticket, my assumption is that you are charged with travelling 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.
